Carrot Dara Wildflower

If you like Queen Anne's Lace, you'll love the more colorful Dara Carrot Wildflower. Growing up to 3 ft. tall, it produces multiple clusters of pink buds that open into white flowers that change to soft pink and then a rich, deep red. They look stunning in the garden or a naturalized setting—and they attract beneficial insects like lady beetles and lacewings, which help protect against aphids. The flowers are also prized in bouquets and cut-flower arrangements. The Dara Carrot Wildflower blooms in the summer, and its young roots are edible. For best results, plant the seeds in full sun. 75 DAYS. Zones 3-9.
