Dog Tooth Violet

A delightful spring-blooming perennial to plant around roses and shrubs, in shade or woodland gardens, in naturalized areas, and under deciduous trees. Also called a Trout Lily, the Dog's Tooth Violet produces up to 10, pale yellow, lily-shaped flowers per stalk. The elegant flowers bloom atop the green, mottled, lancelike foliage. Virtually disease free, Dog's Tooth Violet thrives in chalk, clay, loam or sand. Just don't let the soil dry out. It's an all-around, easy-to-grow and easy-to-love plant. Grows 10-14 in. tall and naturalizes well. Deer tend to avoid. Plant in part shade. Zones 4-9.

Plants will be shipped at the proper planting time for your area of the country using the shipping timeframes outlined below. We continually monitor weather conditions for extreme hot or cold and adjust shipping schedules as needed. Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship most plant items in July and August.
