Mist of tiny purple-blue flowers open in late summer. Complements coneflowers, black-eyed Susans, tall sedums and ornamental grasses. Butterflies love it. A compact variety, it grows 2-3 ft. tall. Full sun. Zones 4-8. PP11958

  • CommentsAll parts of this plant are aromatic making it one of the best to draw in bees and butterflies. A well grown plant is covered with the beautiful misty-blue flowers in late august. In northern climates it will usually die back like a buddliea in winter, but the roots are perfectly hardy. Best flowers are achieved from plants cut short each spring, blooms on new growth.
