Fuku Komachi Hybrid Turnip

Globe-shaped, pure white, tender roots grow quickly in low temperatures and are slow to bolt. For best flavor, harvest Fuku Komachi Hybrid turnips when the bulbs are 2 in. in diameter. The turnip bulbs are ideal for eating fresh as snacks or in salads—the skin is thin with this turnip so they do not require peeling to enjoy. Larger bulbs can also be cooked. Turnip tops also make tasty greens. Turnip seeds should be planted 1-2 in. apart. The plants should then be thinned to 6-8 in. apart. This variety can be harvested winter to spring and does not become pithy until late in the harvest season. Approx. 400 seeds per pkt. 40-45 DAYS
